Erwin Hofman MSc. MT. works at JIN since 2013, on projects related to climate policy, green economy, renewable energy, and sustainble development.
He graduated from the double degree master programme on Environmental and Infrastructure Planning at the University of Groningen (Netherlands) and the Bandung Institute of Technology (Indonesia). During and after the graduation, he worked as a trainee for international development consultant Euroconsult Mott MacDonald. He was involvd in two projects for the Indonesian Ministry of Public Works, on issues of public participation: DISIMP-II on integrated irrigation management in Eastern Indonesia, and QANS on lowland development in Sumatra and Kalimantan.
At JIN, Erwin has been working on several EU-funded projects (POLIMP, GreenEcoNet, CARISMA, and on the Interreg IVa Groen Gas project on European biomethane markets. In addition, he has collaborated on papers on Technology Needs Assessments for Climate Change, on the Climate Knowledge Brokers Manifesto, and on the ClimateTechWiki.org clean technology platform.
