Malte Renz

Malte Renz MSc. is part of the JIN team since 2020, on projects related to climate change mitigation and renewable energy.

Malte graduated from the Ernst-Abbe-Hochschule Jena with a BSc. degree in Industrial Engineering and Business Administration with a specialization in energy & environmental sciences, and from the Hanzehogeschool Groningen with a MSc. degree in Sustainable Energy Systems Management. After his graduation, he was involved in multiple public private projects on North Sea System Integration as a part of the Energy Transition, including major contributions to several related publications (available via the project website of North Sea Energy).

At JIN, Malte works on the H2020 project LANDMARC on the feasibility of land use based mitigation technologies in the AFOLU sector (Agriculture, Forestry and Other Land Use).
