Open conference: Good Practices of Energy Efficiency in the European industry processes — Policies of incentivisation and implementation

While presenting the framework of the EU policy in support of the Energy Efficiency of the industry processes, the Conference aims at introducing the innovative approach of the project EU-MERCI in order to foster the implementation of energy efficiency projects and facilitate the set-up of more effective support schemes.
A critical comparison of the different requirements fixed in EU28 by various obligation schemes and other efficiency measures according to the EED will be discussed, supported by an original in-field survey on barriers encountered in their implementation by industries and ESCOs.
EU-MERCI representatives will illustrate the methodology to identify and classify “Good Practices” of implementation of efficiency improvements and to assess actual savings and costs, basing on the real experience of monitored technological solutions in different industry sector.
Representatives of Italian industries associations will show experience, opportunities and trends on energy efficiency for the respective sectors and will discuss their expectations from the policy.
