Interlinkages between technology needs assessments and national and international climate policy making processes

This paper has been prepared for the Fifth Meeting of the Technology Executive Committee (March 2013) with the objective to examine the interlinkages between TNAs and:

1. Related processes under the Convention, including nationally appropriate mitigation actions (NAMAs), national adaptation plans (NAPs) and national communications,
2. Other national and international processes outside the Convention that support the planning and implementation of actions for mitigation and adaptation, and
3. The work of the Technology Executive Committee (TEC) in preparing recommendations on guidance on policies and programmes regarding TNAs and possible interlinkages with related processes under the Convention.
